Protesting snub to Kumarswamy, JD(S) workers throw eggs at BJP MLC’s car

Fourteen Janata Dal (S) employees have been booked for allegedly hurling stones and eggs at Karnataka BJP MLC and former minister C P Yogeshwar’s automotive at Channapatna in Ramanagara district on Saturday.

Police on Sunday registered a primary data report beneath sections 324 (voluntarily inflicting harm by harmful weapons or means) and 353 (assault or prison power to discourage public servant from discharge of his obligation) of the Indian Penal Code.

When Yogeshwar arrived in Channapatna to take part within the ground-breaking ceremony for a improvement challenge, JD(S) employees protested asking why the native MLA, former chief minister and JD(S) chief H D Kumaraswamy, was not invited to the occasion.

As some BJP employees tried to intervene, JD(S) employees allegedly hurled eggs and stones at Yogeshwar’s automotive.

Yogeshwar grew to become an MLC after shedding the 2018 Meeting election to Kumaraswamy.

For his half, Kumaraswamy requested why he was not invited, although the organisers had printed his identify within the official invitation with out his consent. “It’s a violation of presidency protocol and pointers. I do know it’s executed on the behest of district in-charge minister C N Ashwathnarayan. I’ll take up this situation with the speaker throughout the subsequent session,” he stated.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai condemned the incident. “Throwing stones and eggs at Yogeshwara was not proper. Regardless of the matter is, it needs to be settled legally, and nobody ought to take legislation into their very own arms,” he tweeted.
