A Rapido bike taxi rider was caught on digicam for allegedly slapping a lady passenger following an argument between them over rash driving, police stated on Monday.

The incident occurred on Saturday when the girl, who works as a saleswoman at a jewelry store in Jayanagar, was en path to her office, they stated.

Owing to his alleged rash driving, she bought off mid-ride and confronted him, resulting in a heated argument between them. The girl reportedly additionally refused to pay the fare and return the helmet, police stated.

A video of the incident that has now gone viral on social media platforms confirmed the biker slapping the girl. The impression of the assault was such that she fell on the bottom.

The girl claimed that the rider was rash driving and jumped indicators. When she questioned him, an argument broke out between them and he slapped her, a senior police officer stated.
