Reddy had sought permission to go to Bellary to fulfill his daughter who not too long ago gave beginning to a woman.

Reddy and his brother-in-law B V Srinivas Reddy, managing director of the Obalapuram Mining Firm (OMC), have been arrested by CBI on September 5, 2011, from Bellary and dropped at Hyderabad.
