Scandal-hit BJP leader Ramesh Jarkiholi holds long meeting with CM Bommai | Bengaluru

A day after accusing Congress state president D Okay Shivakumar of being concerned in a conspiracy behind the intercourse scandal that led to his resignation as minister in 2021, BJP chief Ramesh Jarkiholi on Tuesday held a prolonged dialogue with Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, sources mentioned.

Jarkiholi had on Monday demanded that the intercourse scandal case must be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation as a “massive racket” is concerned wherein politicians and bureaucrats are honey trapped and blackmailed.

Calling for the arrest of the younger girl within the case and her accomplices together with two individuals from Mandya, the BJP MLA had charged that Shivakumar was behind the scandal.

“At this time, Ramesh Jarkiholi had a protracted assembly with the Chief Minister. He met him at his residence for 10 minutes, then travelled with him within the flight until Hubballi,” sources near the Chief Minister informed PTI.

The sources additionally mentioned the assembly revolved primarily across the intercourse scandal and the alleged function of Shivakumar and some others from Belagavi district. Jarkiholi had insisted that the case must be handed over to the CBI for thorough investigation.

It was not clear whether or not the Chief Minister heeded to the demand. In a press convention on Monday, Jarkiholi had claimed that there are a minimum of 120 sleaze video clippings out there involving numerous officers and politicians who’re being blackmailed. He mentioned the problem may be very severe and the federal government ought to get it investigated by the premier investigation company.
