Stranded in Istanbul for nearly two days after flight to Bengaluru was diverted, passengers hit out at Lufthansa

A Frankfurt-Bengaluru Lufthansa flight that left Germany on October 18 has been stranded in Istanbul, Turkey after the flight was diverted resulting from a medical emergency. Caught at Istanbul airport for near 40 hours, passengers, and their relations, known as out the airways on social media for failing to deal with the scenario at the same time as the corporate mentioned it “is doing all the pieces to minimise the inconveniences for its passengers”.

Tweeting at 12 am Thursday, Kej mentioned, “27 hours -still stranded in Istanbul Airport. @lufthansa airline clearly affected by existential Disaster. Being known as Racists, complacent, incapable, detached, evil, whereas 380 passengers – primarily Indian, are handled as homeless. No resort, no lounge, no entry to baggage.”

He alleged that they have been being handled shabbily “solely as a result of it’s the Indian sector”.

Different passengers too took to social media on the intervening evening of October 19 and 20 to vent their anger. “Over 32 hrs, nonetheless stranded in Istanbul. Saravanan S, whose spouse and son have been stranded on the airport, hit out on the airline. “@Lufthansa_DE what’s the standing of LH754(frankfurt to bengaluru) which was diverted to Istanbul resulting from medical emergency? My son and my spouse are struggling greater than 30 hrs in Istanbul airport. In response to the tweets, Lufthansa Airways mentioned, “Lufthansa flight LH754/18 October from Frankfurt to Bangalore needed to be diverted to Istanbul resulting from a medical emergency on board. For security causes, the oxygen cylinders used to deal with the medical emergency should be changed earlier than persevering with the flight.”

It added, “Sadly, this takes extra time than initially anticipated. The flight continuation from Istanbul to Bangalore is now scheduled for 8 pm native time in the present day.
