Journalists who have been held hostage after masked gunmen broke into Ecuadorian broadcaster TC’s stay studio have spoken about their ordeal.
Alina Manrique mentioned the armed males “hunted” workers members and that she thought she would by no means see her kids once more.
TV anchor Jorge Rendon, who was stay within the studio when the assault passed off, mentioned it was “extraordinarily violent”.
Ecuador’s president has ordered that legal gangs be “neutralised” after days of violence culminated within the assault on the tv studio.
Police made 13 arrests following the assault, which injured two workers.
