Andrew Tulloch, co-founder of Mira Murati’s Pondering Machines Lab, has left the AI firm to affix Meta Platforms, the Wall Road Journal reported on Saturday.

A Pondering Machines Lab spokesperson confirmed the departure to the WSJ, saying that “Andrew has determined to pursue a special path for private causes”.

Reuters couldn’t instantly confirm the report. Pondering Machines Lab couldn’t instantly be reached for remark. Meta didn’t reply to a request for remark.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg had beforehand reached out to OpenAI’s former chief expertise officer, Mira Murati, and supplied to purchase her fledgling startup, Pondering Machines Lab, WSJ had earlier reported, stating that upon refusal, Zuckerberg had approached greater than a dozen of the startup’s staff, together with Tulloch, to leap ship.

Tulloch had been supplied a bundle that might have been price $1.5 billion over at the least six years, with prime bonuses and extraordinary inventory efficiency, in response to the WSJ.
