Trump confirms he authorised CIA action inside Venezuela

President Donald Trump has confirmed stories he authorised the CIA to conduct covert operations inside Venezuela – and stated he was contemplating strikes focusing on drug cartels there.

US forces have already carried out at the least 5 strikes on suspected drug-carrying boats within the Caribbean in latest weeks, killing 27 folks. UN- appointed human rights consultants have described the raids as “extrajudicial executions”.
