Two Indian Military personnel have been killed and one other sustained accidents when the barrel of a T-90 tank burst throughout a area firing train in Madhya Pradesh’s Babina, officers stated on Friday.
The incident came about on Thursday night, they stated.
“In the course of the annual firing at Babina Discipline Firing Ranges on October 6, a tank barrel burst… The tank was manned by a crew of three personnel. The crew was supplied fast medical assist and evacuated to the navy hospital in Babina,” stated an official.
“The commander and the gunner sadly succumbed to burn accidents. The motive force is out of hazard and underneath therapy,” the official stated.
It’s learnt that the commander was a JCO (junior commissioned officer).
The Military has ordered an investigation into the incident.
“The Indian Military expresses deep condolences to the bereaved households of the troopers who misplaced their lives within the accident,” stated an Military assertion.
