Uttarakhand govt to conduct studies on carrying capacity of Joshimath, other hill towns: CM Dhami

Dehradun: Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday stated that the state authorities will conduct research on the carrying capability of Joshimath and different hill cities within the state.

Dhami whereas speaking to reporters in Joshimath, the place he reached within the night, stated he has been stressing on improvement of the state with a “steadiness between financial system and ecology”.

“We are going to conduct research on the carrying capability of Joshimath and different hill cities of the state. If there are extra constructions than the carrying capability of the cities, then constructions might be instantly stopped in such cities,” he stated.

Dhami stated a complete quantity of ₹ 45 crore has been launched for offering interim reduction to 3000 affected households in Joshimath.

Dhami stated that compensation might be given on the market charge to the affected individuals in land subsidence-affected areas in Joshimath.

“The market charge might be determined after searching for options from the stakeholders and locals. A complete quantity of ₹ 45 crore has been launched for offering interim compensation to 3000 affected households in Joshimath.
