Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has come down closely on Bollywood for ‘not studying’ from the success of unheralded movies like his directorial The Kashmir Information and the Kannada movie Kantara. The 12 months 2022 has seen a number of large funds movies take a dive on the field workplace whereas smaller movies, a lot of them from down south, have carried out effectively. Reacting to Vivek’s tweet, many viewers stated that Bollywood was unable to unlearn previous habits. “Unlearning is a tough and time consuming course of,” wrote one. Many others differed from Vivek’s assertion and stated that Rocketry did have a star in Madhavan. One consumer tweeted, “saying Rocketry didnt had star is fake…Madhavan is a large star down south and the Tamil and Hindi model had Suriya and SRK as visitor appearances.”

The Kashmir Information, Vivek’s movie, was made on a reported funds of round ₹15 crore. The movie was a sleeper hit because it grew by phrase of mouth and ended up grossing ₹341 crore worldwide. Equally, Karthikeya 2, starring Nikhil Siddhartha, was made on an analogous funds and ended up grossing ₹120 crore globally. Rocketry made ₹50 crore on a reported ₹25-crore funds. Rishab Shetty’s Kantara continues to be working in theatres. The small movie has grossed over ₹250 crore and is the third-highest-grossing Kannada movie of all time.

The Kashmir Information, and Kantara outperformed large funds movies like Laal Singh Chaddha, Vikram Vedha, Radhe Shyam, and Samrat Prithviraj, all of which had large stars and budgets of over ₹100 crore every.
