‘Won’t leave until…’: Top wrestlers spend night at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar | Latest News India

Prime Indian wrestlers, together with Vinesh Phogat, Sakshi Malik, Bajrang Punia and others, on Sunday returned to Delhi’s Jantar Mantar to protest in opposition to the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) and its president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh for allegedly sexually assaulting the ladies wrestlers. The protesters, who claimed that their calls for weren’t met regardless of assurances after their earlier protest, slept on the footpath at Jantar Mantar in a single day.

“We can’t depart from right here till Brij Bhushan is arrested,” Bajrang Punia, one of many wrestlers mentioned.

The ladies wrestler’s protest in opposition to the WFI began earlier this 12 months on January 18 after they levelled sexual harassment costs in opposition to the coaches of the establishment.
