To mark Worldwide Ladies’s Day, the Tata Group-owned Air India, together with Air India Categorical and AirAsia India, has scheduled greater than 90 all-women crew flights, and the carriers have been working these all-women crew flights on worldwide and home routes since March 1, in line with a launch.

“Of the 90 flights operated by all-women cockpit and cabin crew, Air India is flying 40 flights throughout home and worldwide places, whereas AI Categorical is working 10 all-international flights to the Gulf route and AirAsia India is working over 40 flights inside India,” it mentioned.

In line with the provider, ladies represent over 40 per cent of Air India’s workforce, with 275 of its 1,825 pilots being ladies, representing 15 per cent of the cockpit crew energy and making it an airline having one of many largest numbers of feminine pilots.

Air India CEO and Managing Director Campbell Wilson mentioned India has the biggest variety of business ladies pilots on the earth.

“With extra Indian ladies pursuing careers in aviation, we’re reaching gender equality within the workforce. We’re pleased with the ladies workforce with us at Air India at this time, and we thank every of them for sending out a strong message that ladies can excel in any subject,” he mentioned.

At Air India Categorical and AirAsia India, over a 3rd of the workforce contains ladies.
