UP govt’s Diwali gift for its employees and pensioners, hikes DA by 4%

The Uttar Pradesh authorities has hiked the dearness allowance of state authorities staff by 4 per cent to 38 per cent forward of Diwali. Chief minister Yogi Adityanath introduced on Twitter saying, “The Uttar Pradesh authorities has determined to extend the dearness allowance and dearness reduction for all state authorities staff and pensions to 38 per cent with impact from July 1, 2022. Uttar Pradesh joins states like Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha and the nationwide capital territory of Delhi to hike dearness allowances of their state authorities staff.

This comes 4 days after the Chhattisgarh authorities too hiked the dearness allowance of its staff by 5 per cent to 35 per cent, thus benefitting practically 4 lakh staff.

On October 7, the Arvind Kejriwal authorities in Delhi had hiked the dearness allowance of its staff by 4 per cent in accordance with the provisions of the central authorities. The Delhi authorities had additionally raised the minimal wages of the unskilled, semi-skilled and expert staff with impact from October 1.

The Hemant Soren authorities in Jharkhand has additionally elevated the dearness allowance for the state authorities staff and the dearness reduction for the pensioners by 4 per cent, a transfer which is able to profit round two lakh staff and 1.35 lakh pensioners, PTI quoted an official.

On September 28, the Centre hiked the DAs of staff and pensioners by 4 per cent to 38 per cent. The federal government introduced that the revised DA will likely be efficient from July 1 and will likely be paid as arrears.
